Active listening
Active listening is an active way of listening. Your listening behaviour shows that you are alert and focused on your conversation partner, and that you are trying to understand them.
Dilts
Dilts' model assumes that change is effected by learning. Increasing the level of experimentation and challenge brings you closer to your core values and enhances your personal development.
Conversation models
A handout describing the various phases of the following conversation models: transparency, complimenting, feedback and confrontation.
Working interactively and in triangles
Working in triangles helps you focus your aim on what you want to achieve.
Reflection
Reflection is the reproduction or mirroring of emotions. You focus on your conversation partner by putting their views and emotions into words.
Summarising
Summarising, or paraphrasing, is a form of active listening. Summarising is repeating the essence of what your conversation partner has said in your own words.
